01. One and only Total-Marine Insurance in Korea

KSA provides total marine insurance service through KSA Hull·P&I, from Hull&Machinery, P&I including passenger and crew, shipbuilding, to leisure etc.

02. Competitive rates

KSA is a non-profit organization that offers rates that are at least 10 to 20% lower than the market price in order to reduce the members’ burden of insurance premiums.

03. Wide range of collateral and stable risk distribution

KSA guarantees the same range of maritime risks as IG Clubs, and is strengthening its payment capability by properly distributing risks through the conclusion of reinsurance agreements with Lloyd's, a reinsurer with over S&P grade A and Korean Re.

04. Fast and Reliable Claim Service

KSA handles and -processes claims quickly and systematically by establishing a well-organized cooperative system with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, the Korea Coast Guard and relevant organizations along with maritime insurance specialists consisting of claim adjusters, non-life insurance brokers and legal advisors.

05. Overseas Claim Network

KSA has established the Claim Network with 238 companies in 130 countries around the world, providing rapid claims services anytime, anywhere, when subscribed ships are sequestrated by claims from abroad. This allows members to minimize the sailing delay of their ships.

06. Unlimited potential

KSA is establishing the platform for sustainable growth through the development of products such as Shipbuilding Insurance and Port Operators Insurance, and is constantly striving to become an international maritime insurance specialist.

07. Beyond just insurance

  • KSA continuously manages the safety of the subscribed ships by providing members with the Condition Survey and Risk Survey at no cost.
  • In addition, it is making efforts to help its members' business activities with low rate loans of KRW 23 billion.
  • Through the Seaman’s Children Scholarship Program, it is committed to the social responsibility by providing scholarships of about KRW 2 million per person to about 40 children of seamen in the seaman’s mutual-aid business and about KRW 2 million per person to about 30 children of seamen from the Passenger Ship Safety Foundation.
